"Dude! It's time to testify before Congress!

House sleuth Henry Waxman (D-CA) read the news today, oh boy. And he wants 22 year-old AEY President Efraim Diveroli, his 25 year-old VP (and masseur) David Packouz, and the company's general manager, also 25, to testify before Congress about how they managed to get a $300 million U.S. contract to supply (sometimes forty year-old) ammunition to the Afghan Army, among other contracts. Waxman also wants officials from the Department of Defense and Department of State to appear as well. He's set the date of April 17th."

Read it and weep....

Was our government ever there at all?

Yet another fantastic and unbiased news source you have found for us, how many left wing conspiracy blogs do you read a day?

Let me break this conspiracy down.  The DoD spends around $1,000,000,000,000.00 a year.  The contract went to the lowest "qualified bidder" who did a crappy job.  The government failed to properly oversee the contract, and ultimately the government got hosed.

Is this a surprise?  We spend $3 TRILLION a year.  This should certainly be reported as it illustrate high level government waste, but there is no indication of a conspiracy or even collusion on the part of the government.  Just incompetence - which is no surprise and sadly not a crime in government.

The guy should be held for breach of contract AND fraud.  Government waste is a drain on tax payers and the nation... and all levels and forms should be held accountable on the strictest of terms.  But I fail to see how this indites the Bush Administration, other than the fact that everything is Bushes fault.  Waste has been a problem forever and will be as long as our government spends trillions of dollars.

Wow, this a-hole is probably why I'm paying so much for .223 and 7.62 ammo.  What a crook!  Fry his donkey!
