He got his headline. That's as far as most readers go. And as deep as Inhofe goes.

How long did the people in Miami, Commerce have to wait before he finally stepped up and represented them? Just in time to make it into the schedule for the campaign advertising.

Huh?  Tar Creek has been a priority of his for years.

As much as I do NOT, and never have, liked Inhofe, I'll agree he did ALOT along this afront.

A priority perhaps. A long, drawn out, flawed effort that took what, a decade or more? He also drug his feet on river funding. Still only approved but not appropriated.

Priority is one thing, results is another.

The devil seems to think incontinence stems from alzhiemers.

Our weak, flacid leader can't get it up!

"In reality, this is money that was raised by highway users.''

Well Jimmy boy, got news for you....

The money is spent on your war and on your housing crisis. Reactionaries usually wait until after the damage to kick and scream.

Jimmy, WHERE'S DA MONEY?

Fred Davis, do another political ad touting Unkies ability to score mega-bucks for our highways and bridges?

Do you have any grasp of basic civics?  You know, how government actually works?

Inhofe can't just go in and open the safe in the treasury at his contituency's whim.

Uh, Connan.....he had the safe open but did not have his foot in it. It was in his mouth.

What's happening with his powerlessness? It's fine for you Connan, but not for Oklahoma. the guys a dweeb. Oh btw, global warming is a hoax....http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/sep/08/naturaldisasters.flooding

And so are you....

Row Jimmy....

Because he got us into this mess and can't handle a solution.

"Anytime someone is in such a desperate hurry to get something done, I am always a little reluctant to be in the same hurry. It usually turns out that it is not a good idea,'' he said. "

Good Jimbo. But what about that Iraq thing you rushed into knowingly!?

Andrew Rice for Senator. Time to change our lousy leaderhip!

How govrnment actually works? Nah, at least not recently. Haven't seen government work for at least 8 years! Meanwhile, Ted Stevens knows where the key to the safe is and how to use it.

Inhofe has no time for discussions. And, really, what is the big deal?

He already knows what he believes and where he stands.

From Tidbits comment:
"In a few weeks, or a couple of months, Inhofe and Sotomayor will likely both be high ranking officials in our government. For people of this position not to be able to say hello in passing is distubing. Does Inhofe also refuse to meet with, or speak to, other senators with whom he disagrees? Serious question to which I do not know the answer.

Second point: Supreme Court justices are notorious for changing philosophically once on the court, with notable examples being Hugo Black, Harry Blackmun and David Souter. One would think a meeting to perhaps plant a seed of persuasion might be in order.

Third, this kind of conduct reinforces the perception of R's as uncivil, impolite and radical. In most of real life America, people respect the rights of others to hold different opinions and do not attempt to exclude from their circle of acquaintances those with whom they may happen to disagree. Inhofe's position strikes me as oddly un-American and non-representative of a fundamental precept of what America and its people hold dear.

The arrogant attitudes of the power brokers, left and right, does not reflect traditional American values. If Inhofe runs on traditional American values in his next election, someone would do well to remind him that those values include commity, courtesy, manners and respect for those with whom you disagree."

Does Inhofe also refuse to meet with, or speak to, other senators with whom he disagrees?

Afraid so Tidbits. Inhofe is standing in the way of other appointments....especially, O'melia's replacement for US Attorney....Senaturd Jimmy is placing politics ahead of law enforcement.

"I have no way of knowing,'' the Oklahoma Republican said.

This may be the one quote he is remembered for when he dies.

"In his interview with the Tulsa World on Tuesday, he also said that his own investigation into the matter has not uncovered anything that would warrant a criminal investigation." Jimmy, you're a jerk.

"U.S. Jim Inhofe, who earlier said a criminal investigation "probably should be'' conducted into allegations the               EPA suppressed a climate change report, said Tuesday he is not qualified to make that determination.

"I have no way of knowing,'' the Oklahoma Republican said.

Inhofe's comments on whether the Environmental Protection Agency suppressed climate change views of a veteran employee warranted a criminal investigation came Monday in response to a question on Fox News concerning agency e-mails that fueled the allegations.

"The other goal,'' Inhofe said of his current effort, "would be to discredit those who have been discrediting me for 10 years. You know from '98 to '05, I was alone.''

We have a loner for a Senator. And he's less than that....

"I'll tell you what a lot of people are thinking, and that is it looks like things are going to be over and we are going to get the clown from Minnesota,'' he said. "I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I don't know the guy, but for a living he is a clown,'' the senator said.

A "clown" who was the first to call out right wing neo con radio for all their lies. A Harvard educated writer gets this from  a senile liar (sure you meant to be disrespectful, Jimmy). Was Will Rodgers a clown? Well, yes. A state hero and icon? Well, yes.

Between Sally Kern and Jimmy Inhofe, don't anticipate any economic growth here until they are both sleeping with the devil.

Oklahomans deserve what they get.
