It was announced today that Tracy Letts has won the Pulitzer for Drama for his play, "August: Osage County."

Tracy Letts is a Chicago playwright who is part of the Steppenwolf company.  He was born in Tulsa and grew up in Durant, Oklahoma.  His mother has said of his writing, "Everybody in Tracy's stories gets naked or dead."

"August:  Osage County" is set in Oklahoma and opened on Broadway late last year after a successful run in Chicago.

That is just STRANGE.  Having grown up in Skiatook, I know people from Pawhuska, I've been there for football games, etc., and to see a hit Broadway play about a place very near where I grew up is a little bizarre [:)].

Has this play ever been at the PAC?  If not, they should put it on the schedule now.
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.
