Councilor raps planning exec

He says the commssioner made up his mind about a retail development well before the vote.


City Councilor Bill Christiansen has said Planning Commission member Keith McArtor should recuse himself from Wednesday's hearing on a proposed Target store, citing concerns about McArtor's objectivity.

In a letter to McArtor last week, Christiansen accuses him of making remarks at the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission's Feb. 6 meeting "indicating you had all but decided to approve the developer's request."

Look. If the zoning requirements are in compliance with code, it's a done deal. Doesn't matter if he did say he intended to vote for the plan. The code has defenses built in to protect neighbors from nuisances.
