If Obama wasn't eligible to be President, the Cruz certainly wouldn't be - for almost the same reasons - yeah, we was born to a woman who was US citizen, but he wasn't even born in the US.  Where are the birthers when ya need them....?

Don't worry, I'm sure Hillary's hit machine will get on that.

Doubtful.  They actually have just barely enough brains to understand reality....where-as the birthers don't.  But hey, they got Rupert Murdoch, Koch brothers, and Donald Trump to lead them and tell them what to think....

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

You do know Hillary was the original "birther", right? But I agree there may be a Murdochian plot afoot. I hope the black helicopters are keeping close tabs on this....

Conan, I'd rethink Jeb if I were you. I'm against political dynasties as much as the next guy - but he deserves a fair look.

Obviously things I don't like and I'm not advocating for him. But it appears at a glance that he can be pragmatic and he is willing to change his position (see, e.g., gay marriage). He isn't a tea party ideologue or a religious right candidate, so that's something.

Thus far, I haven't seen a candidate from either side that has be excited.

We desperately need that third option - none of the above.

If Jeb's last name were anything else, I think he'd have a chance.  I'm fine with where he stands on the issues from a pure electability stand-point, I believe people are tired of political dynasties.  I want to see a genuine moderate from either the Democrats or Republicans (sorry a third party has no chance) who is not from a family of political dynasties.

Obama is nowhere close to a moderate, Bush II might have been were he not beholden to the far right elements of the GOP on social issues.  When I think of moderates, I think of Clinton or Reagan.  Love them or hate them, history shows they were able to bring both sides to the table.
