I'm reminded of when Garth Brooks was allowed to play for a few nights in a row at Driller Stadium.

That was after Gloria Huckabee threw a fit about the Dirt Track Racing at Tulsa Speedway II, which led to the eviction of motorsports from the Fair Grouds race track.  She lived just West of the Safeway on the North of 15th Street.

Don't recall any neighbors complaining about Garth singing into the wee hours of the night, so based on that I don't think there were any Boos from the crowds that week.

Perhaps the V-8's need to play in a different key?

Another connection for Clapton to the Tulsa area is the late songwriter Jerry Lynn Williams who lived out in Leonard, Ok.  for several years.

He wrote: Forever Man, Pretending, Breaking Point, Running On Faith,  No Alibis, and a few others for Clapton.  He's also wrote for Bonnie Raitt, Clint Black, Delbert McClinton, BB King, and others.
