Centennial Model T drive

May 16 — Elk City, Okla.
May 17 — Amarillo, Texas
May 18 — Tucumcari, N.M.
May 19-20 — Santa Fe, N.M.
May 21 — Albuquerque, N.M.
May 22 — Gallup, N.M.
May 23 — Holbrook, Ariz.
May 24-25 — Williams, Ariz.
May 26 — Laughlin, Nev.
May 27 — Farewell dinner in Barstow, Calif.
May 28 — Los Angeles
The group is staying at Best Westerns at each of the listed cities, except for Gallup (El Rancho Hotel), Williams (Grand Canyon Railway Hotel), Laughlin (Tropicana) and Santa Fe (Garrett Desert Inn).

Where would be a good locaiton to catch their drive through Tulsa?

Probably on I-44, as it seems to be the route they are taking.  Possibly old Route 66?  Who knows.

I recall one day a few years ago I got stuck behind a Model T (or something nearly as old) crossing the I-44 bridge over Riverside.  They top out around 35-40mph

The article says they are following the Route 66 alignment, which means they will be driving through town, not whizzing past on I=44.

That would make it either Admiral or 11th Street out east (since the old alignment was changed once); probably 11th Street to Southwest Blvd across the river.

People who drive Model T's don't use major interstates.  (You won't see T's dotting the I's...) They are out for the scenery, the camaraderie, and the drive.  Not to get crushed by trucks going twice as fast.

I saw two of these old antiques in front of me on my way home from work.  This was on 11th Street.  Not sure how many were participating.
