I quit patronizing Casa Laredo about 5 years ago after they were cited for multiple health department/code violations.  Wherever they choose to operate is of no concern to me.

I love that location. It used to be Tules Santa Fe.

My wife and I had our first date there.

Tules!!! I have been trying for years to remember that name.  Back in the day when I used to work for the old State Federal Savings at 5th & Main (now Arvest), we used to go to Tules all the time for happy hour and the free appetizer buffet.  You could go there for $5, have 2 cocktails and unlimited Tex-Mex finger food.  Thanks Recyclemichael for sparking my memory.

I didn't know about that.  I'm going to pretend I never read it, because Casa Laredo is one of my favorite restaurants.

My wife and I frequented Tule's. If I remember they had blue margaritas. Good food too.

Steve, if you only knew how many really good restaurants have been cited you would never eat out again. Tulsa's health department does a fine job of keeping restauranteurs in line. Some say they are too tough. It only takes one bad employee or one mistake at the right time and you look bad. The good news is that they will shut you down if you don't correct the mistakes.

Any updates?

The last story I saw said it was to open in early June.

I used to visit Edith every week at Casa Monterrey, before it was so mis-managed that she was able to buy them out. I've only visited the 41st and Peoria location, with the old mural of Monterrey, Mexico on the wall. Wonder if they'll do any large scale art at the new location downtown?

I LOVE what Jose and Brian (Outsider's Ink) did for El Quapo's exterior wall (Day of the Dead mural). I hope that trend continues as we see this area filling in with new life.
