This is priceless.

She is going to do Obama, what Bill did to Algore in the 00' election.  She's brokered a deal to go ahead and have her name placed into nomination too.

Hillary Clinton taps her own video production team for Democratic convention

WASHINGTON - She's already snagged plum speaking gigs for herself, her husband and their daughter, so what else does Hillary Clinton want at the Denver convention?
Her own production team for the introductory video.
Democratic officials told the Daily News Wednesday that the video preceding Hillary's Aug. 26 prime-talk talk will be produced by Arkansas pals Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, best known for creating the TV sitcom "Designing Women."
These officials said that while many other convention speakers will also rate videos, Clinton negotiators insisted on Hillary having her own video team instead of letting Barack Obama's convention planners handle the production.
Thomason and his wife aren't exactly strangers to the convention game; they produced "The Man from Hope," the widely-acclaimed video biography of Bill Clinton premiering at the 1992 Democratic national convention.
Harry Thomason is the more controversial of the pair: he was involved in the firing of White House travel office employees in President Clinton's first term, testified before a grand jury investigating the Monica Lewinsky scandal and lobbied Bill Clinton to pardon two Arkansas men in the final hours of his presidency.

well, it will either be her political last stand, or she'll go down in the history books....it would almost register as a coup.

I'm beginning to think that they made some secret deal.  One or the other will be the VP pick of the other so if something like this does happen, we get them both either way.

It's party unity.

Barack Obama is the leader of the democratic party. The Clinton's will be better received than Bush and Cheney at their conventions.

Keep things in perspective. They will speak inside the arena. Obama will speak in the coliseum.

Obama is not a muslim. If I were you, I'd be afraid of the prospect of Obamanation. Breadburning is an abomination....

It has started.

Sasha Millstone delegate from CO. Is changing vote to Clinton at the convention.

DNC attempts to block.  Clinton PR team works story hard through ABC News.  Billy Compton, state political director of the Colorado Democratic Party is painted as a bad guy for trying to block her from voting for Hillary, even though her district has chosen to go with Obama.

She is within her "rights" as a delegate.

Can anyone honestly say they didn't see this coming?  Really?

Next. . .

Hey Independents and Republicans guess what?  Remember all that fussing we Democrats were doing last spring.  It's over.  We are united.

I was an ardent Clinton supporter and now I am an ardent Obama supporter.

We Democrats are ready to take on our opponents.

We are united.  No jollys for you here.

Took me a while to find the money trail, but Mrs. Aubrey Ardema is an attorney who works for the Hillary Clinton Campaign.  She is listed in The Federal Election Disbursements for Hillary Clintons campaign.

So how long till the media looks this up?
Why would a Clinton paid attorney be representing a disgruntled delegate?

Party unity?

He he. . . Finally this is getting fun again.

The litigation trail starts.

Importance: High

Dear Ms. Millstone:

A complaint has been filed with the Colorado Democratic Party, by a fellow Democratic National Convention delegate, regarding your position as a Delegate to the National Convention in light of the disparaging public remarks you have made and continue to make regarding our Party's presumptive nominee for President, Sen. Obama. Therefore, you are hereby directed to come in to the Party Headquarters and explain your comments and why you should remain a national delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in light of these comments. I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Your immediate attention to this urgent matter is requested.

Sincerely,

William C. (Billy) Compton

What an odd coincidence, the attorney involved in this little spat, Aubrey Ardema and her husband, Lucky Vidmar, both work for the same law firm. . . and the partners of this firm are former Clinton administration appointees.

Must be a coincidence.

Nothing to see here. [}:)]

Non-issue.

Press release says it was Obama's suggestion that Hillary have name placed into nomination...

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/15/us/politics/15clinton.html?_r=1&ref=us&oref=slogin

"I am convinced that honoring Senator Clinton's historic campaign in this way will help us celebrate this defining moment in our history and bring the party together in a strong united fashion," Mr. Obama said in a statement.

The decision was brokered after long negotiations by advisers to both senators, with Mr. Obama ultimately signing off on the plan on Wednesday. The former rivals never spoke directly about the matter, but advisers said Mr. Obama encouraged Mrs. Clinton to agree to place her name into nomination as a nod to the historic nature of her candidacy.

At the same time, it was an effort to keep peace in the Democratic family, with some of Mrs. Clinton's most ardent supporters still planning to broadcast a television commercial and stage rallies protesting Mr. Obama's nomination.

In her portion of the joint statement on Thursday, Mrs. Clinton left no doubt about who was the party's nominee.

"With every voice heard and the party strongly united, we will elect Senator Obama president of the United States and put our nation on the path to peace and prosperity once again," Mrs. Clinton said.

I sincerely hope that McCain supporters insist this is something that it isn't.... cuz you'll look as bad as the folks who keep telling us 9/11 was an inside job...

There's a big difference between Barack Obama and Al Gore.... Barack Obama gives a great speech and cannot be upstaged by Hillary Clinton.  Nevermind the fact that Hillary has campaigned for Obama in ways Bill never campaigned for Gore..... that'll happen when you need to retire a few million dollars in campaign debts....

Have a nice day.

Another vote for Hillary . . . and more on the horizon!

She's effectively reintroduced the conflict.

Amy Parnes, Politico

Rep. Loretta Sanchez says she's happy for the chance to vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton at the Democratic National Convention — and she predicts that as many as half of the Democrats in the House could join her.

Other onetime Clinton backers are reluctant to reverse course for fear of angering their black constituents.

"My boss is totally conflicted about it — and pissed Hillary is putting us in this position," said a congressional staffer for another New York House member. "We still haven't made up our mind and I don't know when we are going to."

Another New York delegate, speaking on condition of anonymity, predicted that as much as 30 percent to 40 percent of the New York delegation would pick Clinton over Obama during the symbolic vote.

Obama's decision to accept a roll call vote, which came after weeks of talks with the Clinton camp, doesn't mean he'll let the process get out of hand, observers say.

"The convention is about nominating Barack, so his people want to speed through the vote as fast as possible so it won't take too much TV time," said a Democratic delegate who plans to vote for Clinton. "They also want to avoid a scenario where she's leading at any point."

We all know she is not going to win the nomination, but how is this going to make Obama look?  She can't risk an Obama presidency and it seems that cutting him off at the knees before his real battle is her best stratagie to become president in 2012.
