All I know is Mayor Taylor is turning downtown Tulsa into something that we can all be proud of.

Once this ballpark gets put in, 2nd and 3rd street will be much like Bricktown but even better.

I know some will oppose because they'll lose their historic Midtown Adult Bookstore. But we all have to give up something to bring our great downtown back again and we're on track to do so.

As serious as some are about downtown, why is there still gravel parking lots?
New sidewalks and lights just to make the gravel do what? The blue dome is a prime example as it's on a corner. Wish someone would fix it up at some point also before it falls apart

City owns the sidewalks, not Arnie's Bar. It's up to them to pave.

The Drillers finished their season yesterday with a win.

However, overall, they had a losing season:

58 wins; 82 losses.

Second half of season: 29 wins; 41 losses.

They finished 13 games out of First place.

Winning isn't EVERYTHING, apparently.

It isn't all about wins.

Three Driller players made the all-star team. Two Drillers played on the US Olympic team. Many Colorado Rockie players did rehab starts in Tulsa.

Many Driller players were called up to the AAA team or the Major leagues. We Tulsa fans got to see many of the stars of baseball in a close setting.

I had a great time this season. I saw many friends and no friendly bears.

Prediction:

If the new Driller Stadium opens downtown, General Admission tickets will jump from $6.00 to $10.00 per person.

Any bets?

I will take the bet.

There will single game tickets for the Tulsa Drillers season 2010 for less than $10.00.

Loser can't post for 30 days.

Corporate-sponsored promotions don't count.

The bet:  One Driller Dog.  With Chili. And, Onions.

Lawn tickets will probably cost $5 or $6, the same as they do at every other minor league ballpark.

I think the bet needs some public humiliation added.

One Driller Dog and the loser also has to sing "Take Me Out to The Ball Game" in a loud voice in the parking lot before the first game.

Need to wear a pink dress and sing "Modern Major General" from Pirates of Penzance.

It might frighten the children.

The bet is:  One Driller Dog to Recycle.

Team Owner Lamson will probably price the GA tickets at $9.95 just to make me lose the bet!

Can we round UP?
