Out of Iraq. Did that before in Viet Nam. Yes I know Nixon was a Republican.  Kept me from getting shot at. Reasons for being in Nam vs Iraq should be another thread.

Foreign oil independence in 10 yrs. Nice goal, let's start. I think 10 years is a dream. What price are "we" willing to pay to make that a reality?  $10/gal fuel? (Notice I did not say gasoline or diesel.) Remember (most of, all of?) Tulsa's buses have diesel engines.  The short sighted corn based ethanol program also comes to mind.

Tax Relief for 95% of working families.  Where is the income level break?  Who is rich? Is this another euphemism for income redistribution?

Equal pay for equal work. I agree, no special favors for any group. No equal pay equivalent to affirmative action.

That's why it's called a SPEECH.

Policy development and implementation come after he's elected Nov. 4.

Yeah, policies don't matter. Dude, that's nuts even for you.

Obama made clear policy statements, I heard them and wrote them down right here just minutes after the speech:

But, I'm not mad at you for your lame-@ssed answer because it's the very same answer that is forming the cornerstone of this election for the GOP.  When your policies are the McSame ones that Bush used to get us where we are today, then gosh darn it, don't talk about them!  Attack the other guy; question his patriotism; use the same old rhetoric that you like to talk about during election time and ignore when in office.  Whatever you do, avoid using the following words: "republican", "bush".

Son, I don't get this one.

Can you explain it to your Father.

Thank you!

You're not my father.

Remember, you're the one that thinks handicapped people are 'less than perfect'.

You would never partake of their company!

Such a scandalous bear!

[:O]

The handicapped are perfect in the eyes of God.

Apparently, however, much like the downtown homeless population, Mayor Taylor wants them and the handicapped well out of sight at the new BOK Arena.

Hence, the reason for NO proximal handicapped parking.

Too bad you don't understand how the handicapped parking works.  I was able to pick my mother up with little effort on Denver without ANY problems.

Now, for those who are ambulatory enough to drive their own vehicles, I'm not sure.  I think it would be a wise idea, though, to make the entire first two rows of parking in the lot just east of the arena completely handicapped, as well as the lot just north of the bus station.  So I have only half a view on this, as my mother cannot drive and needs help to get into the arena.

I'm not going to guess how many people can drive who are handicapped; I've seen a few.  But I would say 300 spots near the arena would be a good start.

But why would you care, bear?  You don't come downtown anyway.

[:O]

Many handicapped people drive their cars.

There is handicapped parking in virtually every public parking lot.

Many handicapped individuals are ambulatory, drive themselves, but still have difficulties walking, or rolling their wheelchairs long distances.

They are more disadvantaged at the BOK Arena due to the lack of handicapped parking.

The first two rows of the parking lot just East of the BOK Arena should be reserved for the Handicapped.

Actually, if you read the article it's making fun of McCain's two-faced campaign, and the unfortunate masses that follow it.
