"Part of what being a leader does is to instill confidence, is to demonstrate what he or she knows what they are talking about and to communicating to people... this is how we can fix this," Biden said.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened,'"

I don't think I've heard a more ironic, and hillariously ignorant gaffe since Bush's "childrens do learn" comment.

At least he didn't say FDR invented the Internets.

That's all you guys have right now?  Your boy 'suspends' his campaign because he can't do more than one thing at once and that's what you bring.

Wow.

Watch Letterman tonight...seriously.

He's gonna dismantle John McCain.

FOTD

Hey Ipsqueak....Palin seeks protection from  witchcraft gawd damnit! Much to the devil's dismay, Palin is not a she devil.

But the fact her church activities resemble a cult, where is the outrage? Her churchianity is stranger than Obama's.

And you post some stupid bs on Biden. Obama is not likely to die in office. McSicko is!

btw, did you hear the dog ate McSame's debate notes!

Hey FauxTurd, I saw an article about you in the paper today.  Don't say I didn't warn you about that little problem of yours.

I have a few questions fer ya Hoss.

You keep repeating the word "multitasking" as if somehow POTUS candidates can simultaneously campaign hundreds, if not thousands of miles away from DC and play a meaningful part in the bailout lawmaking process.

How exactly is Obama multitasking?  Does simply talking about the bailout while campaigning provide any value to you or I?  How can he vote up or down on a measure if he's not in DC?

My point exactly about the Dramamine.

A lot of lawmakers on both aisles have said neither needs to be there (read that as political posturing) during all this.  Alot have actually said don't come here because all it will be to them is a political football.

Yet who is the one insisting on being there?

Actually, I believe this is more about Mccain making an excuse to try and weasel out of the Friday debate.

First, thanks for not answering my questions.

Jesus Christ...you think other people need medication and you make claims like that?  Who's the one that's been asking the other party to have town hall debates for 6 months now?

The debate on Friday is on foreign policy, the debate where the subject matter is clearly in McCain's favor.  McCain, with 26 years of Senate debate experience is not concerned about debating the Teleprompter candidate.

As per your other points, the president has asked both the candidates to be in DC in the morning to work with Congress and the Executive to forge ahead on this.  Reid speaks for no one but himself.

And just how difficult would it be to change that?  You want to make it sound like the debate material is set in stone.  In this crisis, I'm guessing that the economy would come up regardless of it the subject was on how to paint houses and how each of the candidates would do it.  Both of these men are intelligent enough to be able to switch subjects, dontcha think?

Maybe you need the meds more than me.

Well, seeing as how:

*  The debate is not the Senate floor and they aren't given unlimited time to fillibuster one another;

*  The candidates are going to be asked pointed questions about foreign policy and not the economy;

*  Obama doesn't have a concrete policy developed yet to deal with the crisis; and

*  Constantly redirecting answers to the economy during a foreign policy debate will make Obama look like he's uneducated on foreign policy issues.

How's that for a start?

I suggest you begin your response with "Koolaid drinker" "Spin, spin, spin" or "Repiglican" but feel free to use any tired, overused cliche.

Last I checked, both Presidential candidates ARE on the Senate payroll.  I think it would be honorable as hell for BOTH these Senators to show up for work on this crisis and put their career goals as number 2 priority right now.
