Yes I do know the putting "reputable" and contractor in the same line should not be done, but surely there is someone out there who does good work and is as honest as he could be.

If you know of someone you can vouch for, please share.

What kind of work are you wanting done?

Trust but verify

I should have said!

We want to put in new base moulding (will need it painted) and new interior doors (light stain).  I also need some archways widened and raised about a foot.

Have the best drywall-mud guy ever if anyone is interested, but that's all he does.  He can make any wall or ceiling smooth.  It's amazing how he does the mudding.  Looks like he's painting.  I am working on getting rid of all the popcorn ceiling in my house.  But the other stuff he does not do.

Contractors have a difficult job.  Meeting budget, quality expectations, and time constraints is VERY hard.  The old saying "You can only pick two: Fast, Inexpensive, High Quality"

I've used West Construction - his shop does a little bit of everything.  627-3326

Thanks.  I called them but I was told that my job might be a wee bit too small, though they will come out and take a look.

Seems like this company does really big jobs.

We used Chuck Moore with S&C Remodeling for some work, and were pleased with the quality. Price was comparable with a couple of others we called. 918-378-3746

Try Jeff Davis Construction = Quality

Thanks for the added numbers and names.

The other guy didn't call me back.  He really only does big jobs.  Mine is not that small, but I guess to small for him.

By the way, if Eric is still around, I have to tell you that I am STILL waiting for Doug to come back and fix a few problems in the bathroom!  Can you believe this?  He did admit that this was his fault, yet I have to call and text constantly.  Not good business sense from what I can see.
