28th and Harvard.  Great little bar but too often too smokey.  Finally they are adding an outdoor area.

Maybe not development news on a regional scale, but dang it, it's important to me!

I might dance on the tables there more often if it weren't for the smoke.

Thanks for the news.  This is most definitely important to me!  I'm guessing that eliminates the parking directly behind the place? - I'll take a look on my way home today.

It is in the front of the place.  It is not large mind you.  Probably 10 people or so.  But good enough for me!

Awesome news. Nothing like a good Happy Hour outside on a nice spring day. Well...if the rain will ever stop....

The Colony is great for what it is: an unpretencious, relatively cheap watering hole.  I enjoy going there.

I would not, however, go there for outdoor seating if it is in the front.  That is a very noisy stretch of Harvard.

I saw the front patio yesterday.  I'm happy to have it.  I know its not the best place in town to grab a beer on the patio, but my biggest issue with that place is the smoke.  I'm not too uptight about cigarette smoke, but when I go catch a band at the colony, I can't stay long at all.  Aside from being asses to elbows, the smoke is too overwhelming.  I'll probably be more likely to go now that I can escape outside every now and then to catch a breath of air (even if it has a little exhaust fumes).  I still expect it to cost me some dry cleaning, but I'm more likely to stroll down the street more often.

Can't stand cigarette hangovers...

Great bar.  Have to echo the smoke concerns.

Is Tulsa anywhere near passing an indoor smoke ban?  Dallas just had its ordinance go into effect, and it's really nice.  Although some of the dives have a very weird smell now that there's no blue haze to cover it up . . .

I think the state has tried a couple of times, but it was shot down pretty quickly.  The good news is that there are several pretty good non-smoking options for bars now.  I won't set foot in places like Caz's or Empire anymore, but I'll still suck it up for Arnie's, assuming I can get a spot on the patio.
