Pretty sure they're still open..  Current Urban Tulsa has an ad for their new Sunday brunch.

A place around 21st and Garnett  closed up many years ago. The name of it escapes me.[B)]

Which Legends?  The one by Fox 23?  I was just there about three weeks ago and they didn't seem to be hurtin' for customers.

If that's the case, that stinks.  I loved going there for special.

Yeah that one.  Maybe they were just closed for the weekend or something, but I didn't see any tables near the window.

Yep, I just called their number and it indicated the number was out of service.

SPEEDY GONZALES should be opening in the next week or so. They're relocating from 22nd & Sheridan.

Looks like the other shoe dropped for Cold Stone.  I noticed a bunch of papers taped to the windows at the 101st and Memorial location during a Bueno run, and they said the local franchisee had filed for bankruptcy.  Ouch.  If Cold Stone gives its franchisees as raw a deal as the WSJ claims, this rough recession could kill off much or all of the chain.

I'm guessing it would since you haven't lived here in forever.

And there were many places at that intersection.

I know Goldies was there and closed in the last year.

Schlotzky's did two or three years ago.

Maggie Moos has somehow survived at King's Pointe at 61st & Yale.  I don't see how at $5 a pop.

Sorry..... Have never had their ice-cream... but kinda like the website.

Wonder what the franchise price is..?

This would do well on the Boardwalk in Venice CA or maybe even next to a multi tasked outdoor venue.

Noticed the Johnnies Burger place @ I44 & Harvard has closed. They sure made a good burger & onion rings. I know they had expansion plans (Owasso) but looks like they`re all gone from Tulsa. Guess I`ll get my 6$ burgers at Rons

The Legends in Owasso is still going strong.  As is the El Fogon.  Surprisingly, Hardens Hamburgers too.

Samalicious

I remember a chain called "The Hungry Pelican" when I first moved to Tulsa in 1981. Good fried okra, can't remember too much else about it.

I liked Johnnie's too. I thought they were always doing good business there, enough to stay open at least.
