Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the
deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American
citizens that desperately needed work..

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal's after WWII to create jobs
for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million
Mexican Nationals! The program was called 'Operation Wetback'. It was
done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.
It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now....if they could deport the illegal's back then - they could sure do it today..

lf you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation
Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes...
12 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you!

Today we stand in ecstasy and view that we build today'
Tomorrow we will enter into the plea to have it torn away.

Wow.  Just wow.
Wetbacks?

You know, I think they should deport useless, old fart landlords.
That's what I think.

I also think our college students should be studying overseas to learn from their Japanese and Chinese counterparts........ bring on "Youth in Asia"     8)

Well I'll be damned.  The wikipedia entry about it said that the operation deported 1 million, not 13 million, however.

QuoteThe effort began in California and Arizona and coordinated 1075 Border Patrol agents, along with state and local police agencies, to mount an aggressive crackdown, going as far as police sweeps of Mexican-American neighborhoods and random stops and ID checks of "Mexican-looking" people in a region with many Native Americans and native Hispanics. In some cases, illegal immigrants were deported along with their American-born children, who were by law U.S. citizens.

That sounds about as ethical and Constitutional as the Japanese internment camps of WW2.

If you allow your government to do something to others, you are allowing it to do the same thing to you.  This is why we have a Bill of Rights.

The reference you cite seems to be concerning the 1,000,000 yearly entering into the country illegaly each year.  The question that needs to be addressed "Do the native American of the United States need the jobs more that immigrants?"

No, it was citing what happened in the 50s.  Just because there may possibly be that many (1 million) entering per year now doesn't mean you can take the total now (13 to 30 million) and pretend a similar amount was deported in 1954.
