Ok, I guess some of you remember me joking around during election time about the "Obama Youth" initiative, and that they would be using the Obama logo like many historic "logos" to recruit youth into a political movement and conscript pre-voters into political servitude.  There was even a funny little Obama logo armband that kids would be wearing.

Perhaps you also remember me discussing the President's links to texts like Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals."  Many thought I pushed it a little too far, by aligning, then candidate, Obama with such principals.

This document was passed out in Ohio schools last week.

I'm speechless.

So, I'm trying to find some mention of this from a non-conservative blog. All blogs I have found are conservative blogs and all point back to one blog where this originated. So, who knows if this is evan legitimate.

Also, before I read this thread, I had never heard the name Saul Alinsky. So, on over to Wikipedia I went. From the Wikipedia article, I guess I don't undertand the outrage. Sounds like he was a very successful community organizer.

So, I guess I'm confused about the outrage.

I think people are implying this is going to turn into Hitler Youth. Have a feeling it has little to do with the "recommended" reading or teaching students how to get evolved. It is funny how I remember Bush using schools and churches and other groups to get involved where was the outrage then. I guess it is okay for Conservatives to ask people (young and old) to get involved in there community.

Either way no idea if the document is legit.
Thank you,

This could be a legitimate pamphlet because it's unusual for the right wing nut cases to use that many words without misspelling a few.

Just sayin...

Can we use the Young Republicans as a case study before we start throwing Molotov cocktails.  I remember being recruited by the YR many years ago when I was a young lad in the sunny and warm land of Florida.
