http://tulsarestaurantdeals.com/ is also rather handy

One I didn't see here are the $5 pizzas every Wednesday at Leons in Brookside. Very tasty crispy thin crust. Great little sports bar to boot...and kid-enough friendly.

Wow, this thread has "Tulsa" written all over it. Cheap people abound here.

You guys want to eat cheap? Buy a bunch of Ramen noodles.

Or as Dave Ramsey would say, "Beans and Rice, Rice and Beans."

:P

Hawkins must be rich. Not all of us can lunch at the Polo Grill each day.

Hawkins, Something has happened to you.  Ever since your haircut you've been looking downright handsome.  Anyway, you've touched on something important.  Cheapness.  Not enough money in circulation.  A handful of zillionaires, a paltry middle-class and a huge working class.  People chasing after shrinking slices of a shrinking pie.  It reminds of me of the descriptions of the dying towns of Kansas in the "Trouble with Kansas."  And yet, if you broach the subject here come the cheerleaders who are fighting mad because you pointed out an uncomfortable truth about Tulsa.  The company town that lost the company.  No mon, no fun.  Biscuits and gravy.  Glory, Republican style.

Now, I am just curious.  I knew some people in group that called themselves Circle.  Wonder what they are doing now?

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

You can go to PURE and eat raw and find out that your body needs less food to consume the purer form it takes. It will cost. So does anything prepared with TLC and quality products. People eat according to their clocks and not according to their waste lines.

I used to belong to a teenage group that called itself the Circle.  It was styled on a novel named Stranger in a Strange Land.  We did things like volunteer work for Neighbor for Neighbor.  And sometimes we hung out with the White Panthers.  We were known to spend hours sitting in a booth at Michael's Alley talking, drinking ice tea and eating sliced dill pickles because they were cheap.  But that was a million years ago when life was full of promise and our lives stretched before us as far as the eye could see.

I remember driving that old panel van that Rev. Dan Allen had.  Lousy shape, but it sure hauled a lot of bread.

OMG.  I think it's time for a reunion.  Send me a private message and let me know how I can get in touch with you.  I'm at work now and loaded down but I'll be checking back this evening.
