Bush spent 1,020 days of his presidency on vacation. To put this into context, John F. Kennedy spent fewer days in office, 1000, than George W. Bush spent on vacation. Bush spent 487 days at Camp David, 490 days at his Crawford ranch, and 43 days in Kennebunkport. George W. Bush spent 69 days in Crawford during his first year in office. In contrast, according to FactCheck.org, Obama spent all, or part of, 26 days of his first year in office on vacation. This was less than all three previous Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, but more than the two previous Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

Why do yiou care so much about Obama and his free time?

Oh, I forget. You are a partisan hack.

This will be fruitless you know.  Might as well step into your building's entry area to commence spitting.

Good point.

I need to remember ignore gaspar on politics and stock tips. He did a good job recommending spices and pizza joints and I forget that he is crazy.

I think he has a solid swing.  He's very methodical and cautious on his address and back-swing, and it seems that he is just a little tense on his attack.  I think if he relaxes more he could really be a good golfer.

Of course I can't be too critical, I have no idea how it would feel to try and hit a ball while the whole world watches.  I would probably be tense too.

He did have a good day, not too much wind, and obviously no pressure from groups behind.  Not sure if he played this round alone or with some others.  He used to play with Rahm, but he was busy with a ceremony in Chicago and then he gave a tear filled speech to the families of soldiers killed in Afganistan, so I guess he was booked.

I would have at least hooked up one of my Secret Service detail with a set of clubs.  Perhaps he just needed to clear his head and have some alone time?

RM...Classy as usual.....

I think he's angry that I admire President Obama's love of golf.  It's a fantastic pass-time and a wonderful way to relax.

If I had as much time to play as the President does, I would be a far better golfer than I am.  It's all muscle memory.  70 rounds of golf is about 350-400 hours of play (the equivalent of about 10 weeks of work).  With this kind of practice you can really hone your swing and eliminate a lot of the bad habits that the casual golfer battles.

Perhaps if RM spent a little time on the links he would admire the skill that President Obama is developing.  I mean it really takes devotion to spend that much time on the course.

My dad is retired and he probably plays almost as often as the President. It's a great way to spend free time!

I do play a little golf.

In life I am a tree-hugger, in golf I am a tree hitter.

He was not alone he took  junior White House staffer Ben Finkenbinder, White House Trip Director Marvin Nicholson, and Energy Department staffer David Katz.

Finkenbinder is just a kid, but he's supposedly an amazing golfer.  Turns out that this is the guy President Obama relies on for golf tips.

What a wonderful opportunity as a young person to golf and give instruction to the leader of the free world.  Perhaps President Obama could use this to his advantage on the campaign trail by offering spots in his foursomes to political donors.

President Clinton used to offer spots in his foursomes but that had nothing to do with golf.

Remember when President Ronald Reagan gave a top management job in the White House travel office to the astrologist his wife used to tell fortunes?

Why didn't the former President Bush's habit of clearing brush and going to baseball games bother you?
