The OTA used to do that. I can remember geting to OKC, or Tulsa, and getting looks from the attendant as to the elapsed time on the ticket. My best time gate to gate was an hour and eight minutes.

Rode with a friend of mine in 1987 I believe to visit his GF who was in college in Edmond.  He had a Z28 that ran like the wind.  We did gate to gate in 65 minutes, or just about 82 miles an hour (this was of course when the limits were double nickels).  Definitely looks from the attendant.  LOL.

Funny (strange, not ha ha) that that is only 7 mph over the limit now on the same road.  55 mph was a bad joke/dream.

My Wife swears her and a ex boyfriend did it in less than a hour when she first got the car about 10 years ago.
Dont get me wrong, the car is stupid fast. But from gate to gate without Highpo intervention, I'm still a little sceptical.
