Union Pacific says steam engine No. 844 is scheduled to depart Cheyenne on May 27, 2011.

It will then make overnight stops in North Platte, Nebraska; Marysville and Coffeyville, Kansas; and four cities in Missouri: Kansas City, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Cape Girardeau.

Three overnight stops are planned in Arkansas: Bald Knob, North Little Rock and Van Buren. From there, the locomotive will stop through Omaha, Nebraska, before returning to Cheyenne by late June.

The exact timetable won't be released until April 27, 2011.

The historic locomotive traveled through Oklahoma in 2010.

Did you notice that your link to Channel 6 is dated 22 April 2010 (last year)?

If it returns home via Ft Smith, it will probably stop for a short time in Wagoner again.
