He blames a recent illness on this already.

Algae blooms are a hoax, Senator.  You go tell those scientists a thing or two...

Grand lake is rather large, I can't see how the whole lake would have high levels of toxicity- There must be some areas of the lake that are fairly safe for swimming, just avoid the coves. Algae forms in the oceans too, they have red algae and it's called "Red Tide" when it moves into a beach and that stuff is not caused by chicken poop or man as far as I know. When I was  a kid our family had a beach house on the shores of Lake Huron in Michigan   the area has lots of farm land  and Lake Huron never had algae problems or course the water is cold all year.

Thank you Senator.

I just went to Beaver, always do. Cleaner, less choppy, no toxic algae, and prettier.

Also, I prefer the lakes without development all around them. On Beaver, you can't even see most of the houses. I take my trips to the lake to get out of the city, not to find another one.

Blue Green Algae blooms spotted at Ft. Gibson Lake. Testing is being done to see if the algae could be harmful to humans (and pets). FOX23's Abbie Alford is working on this story tonight. What are some of your biggest questions and concerns about the algae outbreak?
