The best team in baseball wins 60% of their games and the worst team loses less than 60% of their games. The total difference between first place and 30th place is the remaining 20%.

Most seasons, the best batter will hit safely in 34% of their at bats and the worst batter will be successful in 22% of their at bats. The difference is less than three hits per week.
