FYI; found out this morning at around 6am that the trail just west of Memorial is closed.   :-\

Anybody know for how long??

Update on the bike path situation... do NOT park in the gravel lot off Sheridan near the Creek Turnpike.  I parked there yesterday while I rode back/forth to work.  Came back to a broken window and my duffle bag missing.   >:(  Luckily, all the loser got was my dirty work out clothes, but I'm stuck with a broken window....  friggin' jag offs!!

That does, but I can't help but laugh when I think of that D-bag opening up his prize and finding sweaty gym socks!  Almost makes you want to carry a small duffle bag with a zip lock full of dog or cat smile for a "just in case".

Saluki- not insinuating one way or another in your situation- but after seeing similar break ins at the 21st St. skate park and the boat house parking lot at 17th & Jackson, it's almost always because someone left something of value or a bag in a conspicuous place.  Word of advice to all- put everything in your trunk when you park in a sparsely attended public spot like that.  Generally a thief isn't going to break into a car unless there's an easy smash & grab they can see.

It reminds me of the time many years ago when we were living in a townhouse apartment. My wife emptied the vacuum cleaner bag onto some newspaper, wrapped it up and set it on the doorstep for a second to put the vacuum back together, then went to take the bundle to the trash. Someone had already stolen it! I have no idea what he or she thought it was.

Bet they got a surprise while trying to put it up their nose...LOL.

One of my friends was having a problem with his trash being stolen.  He expected they were looking for info to steal his Identity.  He shredded everything so he was OK there but it was still annoying.  I had him come to our place to collect some dog gifts.  No more stolen trash.

In the big picture, no big deal.  My son was surprised I wasn't more upset.  I told him the only thing I was upset about was I didn't have "flu like symptons" the day I used those clothes.   8)

And yes, prolly shouldn't have had the bag in the back seat; they prolly thought it would have an iPod, MP3, wallet, etc, but no luck for them.  Losers.
