I think there is different set of circumstances.  In the east Tulsa case, it appears that the girl's family was pretty neglectful, giving her keys to a car and letting her run loose.  I could be wrong, but I believe the news reports said her aunt gave her the keys to the car and it sounds like she had minimal supervision.

I believe the girl was black and not hispanic, or at least she has a black relative who was the family spokesperson shown on the news.  Not that the color of her skin should make one whit of difference.

I think the state has implied there may be a lot more to the home environment, as far as guideance to keep the girl out of further trouble.  Also, due to confidentiality laws for juveniles, the public is not privvy to prior delinquent behavior.

Keep in mind too that the wishes of a victim's family are taken into account when punishment is considered.

IOW- apples and oranges.

That's what she's charged with, it's always possible it will plea out to a lesser charge.

The nature of a homicide charge will also depend on whether or not another crime and whether or not that crime was a felony or misdemeanor was being committed at the time someone is killed (mitigating circumstances).

All that being said, it's no secret that the person with more money will almost always fare better in the court system than the person who has a PD.

Playing the race card ("minority") only makes people more racist.

So ignoring racism is correct way, Cubs?

I find it a bit rich that the moment people try to examine issues of race, people are accused of playing the race card. I also love the idea that racists are some how not to blame for their actions rather the real people to blame are those confronting the issue.

I admit I am slightly racist (trust me, everyone is-whites blacks latinos asians) but I really feel the only reason is because I turn on the tv and I see these people constantly crying racist. If people of all races would quit crying racist all the time, it would make it much easier to be color-blind.

So the reason you are racist is because people are complaining about racism?

Here is an idea, maybe if you and people like you weren't racist people wouldn't complain?

These two cases could not be more un-related.....
