I've had both mail and news delivered in a timely fashion throughout.  (31st & Memorial)

As much as I would like to cut the post office some slack I just cant, they created their own problems.  You could say they are unable to deliver because they rely on trucks and not on foot people.  To that I say offer more satellite offices run by foot workers.  Also, those freaky things they drive are not equipped for the snow AT ALL.  Hell, they can barely handle a hard rain....like golf carts on steroids.  So get beefier vehicles for weather like we saw last weekend.  Just think if we had weather like this ALL the time?  I guarantee in Denver weather like this doesnt get the post office down.

You people whine too much. I personally don't want the local government to spend millions of dollars to buy more equipment to clear the roads. Therefore it doesn't bother me if my mail wouldn't come, not that that happened to me anyways.

So wait.

The paper guy comes.
Fedex comes.
UPS comes.
But the only thing keeping the mailman from coming is city road crews?

How did we get there?

On the Trash Truck Snow Plow system.

May want to check with the majority of Cities in the North East, most of them use that system for clearing their roads.  Seems to work out great according to many associates I know that live in those areas.   I am confident if anyone would ASK that those Cities will share with us how they accomplish clearing their roads from ice and snow.

I submit for some reason people in Oklahoma constantly seem to wish to re-invent the wheel or say something will not work rather than seek advice and look at other systems that have worked for decades.  Here, people want to tear down buildings and invent their own failing ideas of trying to address problems.

GOOGLE is a very wonderful tool to locate solutions to problems that have been perfected and actually WORK.

Google  "Trash Truck Snow Plow"

Not totally sure, but part of the reason for the Tulsa Syndrome and lack of leadership and common sense solutions to problems could be our lacking school system.  The North Eastern states are far superior to those in Oklahoma. And they have Union trained employees operating their equipment.

Since I'm a native of an Eastern state, I'll take that as a compliment, AMP.

Does the State, County, City not have anyone in their employment that does research on products and updated processes available in the modern market place.  Most the equipment I see operating, most sitting on the side of the road, looks to be from the past century.

Turnpike toll booth at Stroud on both Friday and Saturday was a Cluster.  Had 3 road graders there, but only one operator and he was clearing an area by the pay phones.  What needed to be done was to make the entrance after the money booths much longer and WIDER.  As there was only a small 10 foot wide opening to enter the Turnpike after paying.  Pike Pass traffic was oncoming at 50mph.

Took 26 minutes to get through that congested area, and the rest of the Turnpike the traffic was moving along at over 60mph.
