Does anybody remember the school that stood on the hill just north of I-244 and east of Memorial? It was on the land that was at one time Builders Square and to the north of it was Mid-Continent Freight lines before the warehouse burned to the ground and then it became McDonnel/Douglas Credit Union, long before Don Thornton Ford moved from the Admiral and Mingo traffic circle?

Also does anyone remember "Four Seasons Ice Rink" or the ice rink at the fairgrounds?

I remember the Ice Rink at the Fairgrounds.  Walking on those black rubber mats, and the warm heated area by the concession stand.



The Zamboni machine working the ice between sessions.  

Now that area is all but a fancy giant manure factory.

Fairgrounds ice rink is a good early memory for me ..... shuffling around the rink, holding the rail for dear life.

I recall the old school building on N. Memorial, but don't know its history.

I remember the skating rink at the fairgrounds. It was in the dairy barn. My Girl Scout troup went there all the time. Very fond memories of that place. It wasn't a full size rink, either. I also really loved going to the galleria rink.
