PSO Survey

As you may know I am a native Tulsan living in Memphis Tennessee. After my mother passed away in January 2006 I had the utilities in her home placed in my name before the home was sold. Since that time I have received numerous telephone calls from a company called "SDS Research" wanting to perform a survey of my satisfaction with PSO. Because I work the graveyard shift and sleep during the day this companies phone calls have become a real pain in the A**. Because of the nature of my work I cannot turn off the telephone ringer. I have repeatedly ask to be removed from the calling list without success, I continue to receive these calls.
Now it has turned ugly. Yesterday afternoon I received 6 phone calls in a row from the same operator at SDS that became increasingly harrassing in nature to the point that I had to turn off my phone in order to sleep. These calls were in succession and were made solely because I became quite rude (no cursing) after the third call.
Can anyone help me find a customer relations number for PSO? I have searched there website and cannot find a number. 1411 only lists a main number that is a recorded menu of buttons to push for restoring service, new service etc...
Any help locating this number would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Russell

I can tell you the bill and payment of money is now sent to Ohio.

I have never received any calls from anyone at PSO or AEP or whatever they are called today.

I suffered over $800 in losses last season as the power went out several times at one of the racing venues I announce for.  They never seem to get it restored in less than 5 to 6 hours when the owners called to report the outage.  Once, they came out and flipped some fuse on a pole and behold there was power once again.

Just look at your Bill, could it be that they are located in OHIO, why would they care about anyone in Oklahoma ?

Phone numbers should be listed on your AEP/PSO bill.

Good Luck

They are a member of the BBS, you could write to them perhaps.

I would start by sending an email the President CEO of SDS Reasearch and inform them of the problems you have experienced.  Many times the owner of a business has no clue what some department or employee is doing wrong.

Most business owners would have a cardiac arrest if they knew what really happens during business hours between some of their employees and the customers.  Once they discover the problem, most times it is way too late.

Help them stop the hemorage by sending them a letter now!

I am way ahead of you on this. I have tried contacting SDS in the past. As you may have noted their website is a bit lacking. There is an 800 number posted there and I have tried calling that # only to get the run around. Lot's of promises about removing my name and # from the list, however they have not. That is why I want to contact PSO directly.

I would file a letter of complaint with the BBB where they are located and with PSO/AEP.

BBB logo is on their web site. Be interesting to check with them to see what kind of record they have with the BBB. ????

Web site states they only have 20 teleservice agents and they do everything IN HOUSE, so it should not be hard to get hold of someone that would be able to handle your complaint.

=============================================

"SDS does absolutely no outsourcing, allowing for responsive service and total control over each project."

"SDS Research is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a call center in Paul, Idaho. SDS employs a staff of 20 teleservice agents, and does not outsource any aspect of the research process. This business model affords SDS the ability to maintain complete control of each survey project, and respond immediately and specifically to client requests.

Founded in 1990, SDS has conducted nearly half a million individual telephone, mail, electronic, and in-person interviews with customers, potential customers, and employees of more than 700 organizations in a wide range of industries.

All SDS Research projects are conducted in-house by SDS-employed agents, guaranteeing only the highest standards in survey administration, focus group recruitment and facilitation, and customer contact. SDS does absolutely no outsourcing, allowing for responsive service and total control over each project."

1) say "put me on the do not call list."
2) Next time they call explain to them you work third shift and are not interested, repeat demand for do not call and remind them what the law is.
3) Threaten legal action.

That is a great idea, I just tried calling them again but I am 3 hours ahead of them. I will be calling back this afternoon when I get up. I would still like to have a number for PSO.

Cannon_fodder, I have tried your suggestion repeatedly, the law is that if you have done business with a company or it's agent they are exempt from the DNC lists as are charities andd political action committies.

Success!!!! I located a number for PSO media relations. The gentleman there was very helpful and has assured me that he could solve this problem. Thanks everyone!!! Tulsans Rule!!!

sgrizzle

As long as most of us have been alive, PSO has been owned by an out-of state company. For the past 6 years, it is in Ohio, before that it was in texas. The parent corporation used to do bill processing in Tulsa at one time but that is now in ohio. If you call customer service, you will generally get connected to a CSR in Tulsa. Like most call center this varies with call volume, moon phases, time of day, etc. This is unlike companies such as cingular which direct all Tulsa calls to the Laredo call center while the Tulsa call center answers calls from Massachusetts.

Salt Lake City?  You could try saying something insulting about Mormons :)
