Tulsa - It appears a lawsuit against a former radio talk show host will go to trial.

The ruling came down Friday. The lawsuit was filed by City Councilor Bill Christiansen against former KFAQ host Michael DelGiorno.

The lawsuit stems from comments DelGiorno allegedly made about the Federal Aviation Administration, claiming they agreed with him that Christiansen committed a felony in his actions involving a dispute with Kent Faith.

A trial date has been set for January seventh.

my councilor should spend more time serving my district than pursuing frivolous lawsuits.

sgrizzle

I was kinda for the lawsuit when DelGiorno was here but now that he is already gone, I kinda wish they would drop it. Maybe it's just a public service to Memphis.

To tell you the truth, the headline made me panic.

I bet that when he comes back, he stays at that hotel at the casino.

I thought he was barred from Cherokee Casino.

Yeah, the headline made me jump.  I figured he'd already crapped himself out of a job in Nashville.

That was my intention...... you can pull the fish hook out of your mouth now. [}:)]

To be honest I miss Michael and all of his rants. If anything he was entertaining, as I disagreed with him most of the time.

But now we have Gwen trying her best and I have to admit it's like chewing on tin foil listening to her. I'm truly sorry Gwen but since your making the big bucks, try taking some broadcasting lessons.

Then there is Chris, well this might be bad on my part but I have found a true dislike for lawyers  in my lifetime and his behavior on the show only enforces my beliefs. The only suggestion I would have for Chris is to accept the fact he lost his run for Mayor because no one wanted him. It doesn't help the show at all to here him constantly say, "Well, When I Ran For Mayor".

Saying all of this, KFAQ does has someone that would be absolutely awesome in this morning slot and that would be Elvis. Why Brian doesn't use him in the morning show as his main anchor is beyond me. Just wish Brian would hurry up and get it figured out because I'm getting really tired of listening to Roy D Mercer reruns.

Porky hit it square. Why the station ignored Elvis Polo for the morning slot I'll never understand.

Nowadays, when I listen to KFAQ in the morning, I inevitably change the channel. Not because I disagree, but because I'm bored.

DelGiorno may have been a cretin and a hypocrite, but he wasn't a bore.

I wish they could drop the barn burning angle now that MaDoG is gone and try for a more balanced approach.

Why not invite people with all view points on local issues, Chris and Gwen should reserve their own judgment and let the listener decide based on the merits of the speaker rather than the hosts telling us what we should believe.

I get tired of hearing that if I disagree with their flawless logic and decision making I must be stupid or the worst kind of moron.

Try to persuade me instead of labeling me. You might actually increase the audience by being inclusive rather than divisive.

And FYI, gossip about supposed meetings between councilors and the administration that may or may not have been scheduled is not compelling talk radio, it's boring.

I'm trying to figure out how Gwen and Chris can think anyone from around here can take them seriously after their display today of saying they were going to throw hard balls at Sullivan over his support over the River Tax and the only that came from it was Sullivan leaving with hickeys on his butt from both of them.

But the most upsetting thing for me today came when Gwen didn't address the Richard Roberts situation, as such. Yes Gwen, the person that feels that Christian beliefs have more to do with mens bathroom stalls than the corruption with organized religion and the public office of Randy Miller.

Hopefully tomorrow she'll at least balance out the screwing going on with men in the public bathrooms at the city parks with the screwing that her respected Christian leader is doing to his followers and the people of Tulsa.

I didn't listen to all of it, but they did address it.  It was after 8 am.  She was saying how much the like Dr. Swails and believe in his integrity, so the accusations should be taken seriously.  I don't know how much more then went into, but Chris did have a few "when I ran for Mayor comments" . . .

I agree, the show is turning into a bore, I enjoy hearing about local stuff, but it's so dry.

I thought Gwen did do a great job this morning in covering this story. Obviously Chris was showing his ties to Richard Roberts but Gwen really did a good job.

Saying that, I bet Mrs Roberts was glad Michael isn't hosting that show anymore because he wouldn't of left out the juicy stuff about her. lol

"turning" into a bore.

That happened a long time ago.
