This is from Wikipedia...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_locations_by_per_capita_income

Bixby, Oklahoma – $24,336
Jenks, Oklahoma – $22,804
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma – $21,555
Tulsa, Oklahoma – $21,534
Owasso, Oklahoma – $19,417
Sand Springs, Oklahoma – $18,193
Glenpool, Oklahoma – $16,868
Catoosa, Oklahoma – $16,061
Skiatook, Oklahoma – $13,956

This is for each person.

My kids are clearly not doing their share.

Does it include kids in the "per capita"?  Seems awfully low even for a single adult income. Especially for an area like Jenks. All those nice new homes going in there. Perhaps these stats are old. If they are 5 years or more then they are surely out of date.

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

It is from wikipedia, so it all could be made up.

I will assume it is from 2000 census...If that is the case, Oklahoma per capita income was up 33.6% from 2000 to 2006

Adding a third more to each does sound better.

I agree.  Wikipedia is hardly a reputable source.  Those numbers seem to be awfully low.  I know there are some low wage earners around so I'm guessing they are averaging all reported wages per capita per city and coming up with this number.  I don't think this is a good way to judge income regardless if the numbers are accurate.  I would like to see more like a pie chart that says 50% of Tulsan's make 50,000-75,000 / 25% make less than $30,000 etc...

Thanks sixteen O' three.

Tulsa's number is about a third bigger, so our assumptions are probably correct.

I wish we had the info by suburb...
