Good Italian food

Since I got so many responses on my Sushi question, I thought you "experts" would be able to guide me to something closer to Italian food than Olive Garden & Zios[]

Mary's- looks like it was decorated by an Italian grandma.  Very cozy and welcoming.  Everything is good.  Do try the grasshopper pie for dessert.

Tucci's- service can be hit or miss, but their small front patio is great for outside dining.  Very good food also.  Good lunch specials that include a salad.

Both are on Cherry St. just east of Peoria.  Mary's on the north side, Tucci's on the south.

What TULSAmini said, I do like Dalesandros and Napolitano's over on the west side.  I hear there is good Italian in Broken Arrow but haven't investigated that side of town for a nonchain place yet.

There is a good Italian place at 81st and 145th..

There is a good spot over by Promenade too...  More of a lunch spot than anything else.

For romantic Italian there is always Ti Amo at 61st and Sheridan.

Toss of the coin on that one. Sometimes they don't cook that pizza all the way, then its pretty gross.

Oh, and you might want to call first, because that place is closed all the time--particularly during any sign of bad weather, or on Sunday nights, which is a total mystery to me.

I mean seriously, if they want to take a night off, why not Monday? I'm sure they don't do jack on that night, so closing during a Sunday seems like a pretty dumb move.

Did I mention that you don't get free bread before your meal, either? Nope, they charge you for it.

Ate there 3 times, I love the Riverwalk, but that place chased me off with lousy management.
