Upholstery shop

Within the last few years there was a little "ma and pop" upholstery shop a little West of Hillcrest on the South side of Eleventh Street. Anyone know who they were? We went down there this morning to get some work done and they are not there now. Too bad as they were really good.

Secondly, we will probably be looking for a new shop that can do leather upholstery. Any help from anyone on a business that can be recommended that is reasonably priced?

I can't remember the name but go to the West side of Peoria at 10th street. Its a two story house I believe. They did a fine job on an antique rocking chair of mine.

There's also an upholstery shop on 3rd at Lewis, across from Ziegler's.  I'm actually getting ready to get a quote from them for this great mid-century chair I got for $40 from Cheap Thrills.

Have you checked them out or was it a referral? I assume they do work in leather? Thanks for your input.

Midwest Upholstery at 2906 S. Yale has been in business since 1954.  They do quality work and can handle all types of leather/fabrics.  They may be comparatively pricey, but their work is first rate, and you will not be disappointed.  I have known many customers of Midwest over the past 30 years, and they have all been very satisfied with the quality of their upholstery work.

Thanks Cole, but it appears they do not work in leather which is a base requirement.
