KTUL: FOP President may resign

Well, let me step right on in and say that I doubt the truth of these scurulous accusations.  There is NO WAY that anyone would be so stupid, so lacking in honor and decency, to try and screw his/her fellow Union employees in the manner indicated.  Clearly, the so-called witnesses must be some crack-smoking trustees with axes to grind.  What a sick joke that the honor and integrity of the sacrosanct process of drawing lots could be corrupted by some moron.  Give me a break!  Never happened.

FILAK RESIGNS

I mean, if this is how the TPD leadership treats its own - their very own duty-bound Brothers in Blue - imagine what their sentiment is toward the rest of us.  Contemptible.

His effectiveness as an officer will be compromised by a judge's or jury's inability to believe him.  He might have better luck working Sand Springs or Kiefer. http://www.tulsanow.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8970

This guy says it best....

For the life of me, I have never understood why we have a "lottery." I know several Officers who agree with me that your seniority out of the academy should be solely based on how you performed during the academy. Factor in how well you do on the physical fitness test, shooting on the range, class exams, defensive tactics, etc... Whoever has the best accumulative score is #1 and the rest will fall in line after him/her based on their score. This would also give the recruits extra incentive to workout harder (even on their days off), study more and dry fire. With the current system the biggest slug in the class has the same chance of getting #1 as anyone else.

The worst thing about this whole ordeal is the Officer who legitimately drew #1. What they should have done was give Amy the last slot and moved everyone up one. Instead they decided to re-draw? That makes absolutely no sense. This whole deal is just another black eye on the department and the worst thing about it is that it easily could have been avoided. My $0.02. Thanks.

That sounds entirely too much like merit-based seniority.  We can't have any of that going on, now.

Kashmir

Since our mini vacation to KC is being planned, and as Mr. Kashmir polishes up his "super smooth tip palming action"  I caught myself wondering whatever happened with this police thing?  Are the investigating the recruit?   I mean, my brother, at 13 years old, was a WAY smooth palmer.  He could palm this guy under the table. HE would have done it right...

AND here is the best part:
NICE JOB
