Most of you haven't had the pleasure of passing 50 BUT I know you guys might have some great ideas for gag gifts, pranks or really nice gifts.  My friend's b-day is in two weeks and I'm stumped.  So fire away...............

bib, walker, sock suspenders, mr rogers red cardigan, large box of Handkerchiefs, laxatives, adult diapers, strings to tie around his fingers so he'll remember things, early bird special restaurant listings with coupons, a note pad to write down things that piss him off about today's youth and another to write down any "I remember when" statements

I think that the key is to remember that to someone who is 50(or about to be) almost all of the things that have been listed sound like perfectly reasonable gifts...oh wait, cks511 also asked for ideas on "really nice gifts".  So I guess...keep up the good work;-)

A REAL gag gift would be a cell phone or an iPod...'cause no one that old can figure out how to use such advanced pieces of technology:0 (sorry--I had to)

My 50th was last October.  I marked the occasion by completely ignoring it, and thankfully all others that knew about it did likewise, except for a few cards I received in the mail.  The less said and done about it, the better as far as I was concerned.
