Lost Wallet

I lost my wallet on Monday afternoon, in the midst of all the rain and lugging around a 10 month-old.  I usually keep it in my front pocket, but I think it was in my back pocket that day.

We went to Iidentity in Brookside, several shops at Utica Square, I picked up my digital camera from my mom at McDonald's at Pine & Peoria, and when I went to the parking garage on First & Denver to get pictures of the BOk Center, I realized it wasn't in any of my pockets.  Cars, carseats and babies have been turned upside down, and I've revisited and called all the places I visited, yet I still don't have my wallet.

There's basically no cash in it, but I need my bank card and license because I'm headed out to New York on Friday afternoon... and I'm at a loss.

My cards haven't been touched, so to me it says that nobody has my wallet, but I still need it and don't have time to have BOk reissue a card.

Any suggestions?

Oh, P.S., if you find a black leather wallet from BR that has my shining face inside, let me know!

Yeah it's a little late for BoK to issue a card, unless you pay an extraordinary amount of money for the shipping. I think if you go in today you could possibly have it shipped via FedEx pretty quickly, but no guarantee by Friday.

I would probably cancel the card. You're at risk leaving it open right now, especially if someone takes your driver's license. You may get a reissue on the D.L., but I'd probably stock up on either a rechargeable AMEX gift card or old fashioned traveler's cheques.

Just my opinion, I work for the bank and I see this stuff happen everyday. It's too risky to leave a card open when you don't have control of it.

You should be able to walk into a BOK branch and get a temporary debit card.  And if you don't have a passport, go wait in line at a tag agency and get a new license so you can board the plane.

Okay, so three days of frantic searching have come to an end... and in the end, I'm a moron.

I found my wallet lodged between my passenger seat, the seatbelt and the door.  My carpet is black, so it blended right in, and I guess instead of turning the car upside down, I should have just tipped it to the side.

I'd rather be a moron than have my wallet be in someone else's possession though.  And now I can enjoy NY like I want to!  Janeane Garofalo and CCNY, here I come!

Good for you!  I've been there, carrying kids around and losing things...a wallet @ JC freakin' Penney, a WHOLE DIAPER BAG at Cheddars, an ATM card IN THE MACHINE.[B)]

And the good people of Tulsa have never let me down.  

I'm not a total moron, but when you got one kid in a carrier and a wandering toddler, crap happens.

Four kids and I can thankfully say that I haven't lost my wallet.  Key's, cigarettes, lighter, sunglasses, children yes.  Wallet, no.  I guess I'm too attached to the little money I got.
