Does anyone know a real good auto detail shop that's reasonably close to the south part of town?
I'm looking for a pro who takes his time, uses the best products, and knows what a clay bar is used for.

The place at 71st and Sheridan (mr klean I think) does a decent job. I don't know if they do clay bar work though. You might also consider some of the mobile detail places that could just take care of your car in the driveway while you wait in your own house.

depends, what model of car are you needing detailed?

I don't trust ANYONE for a real detail. I'll go to Mr. Klean for the basics, but when it comes to clay barring and waxing, I'll do it myself. I use almost entirely Zaino products, but I found a new product for the black plastic trim called Black Wow that cannot be beat for restoring and protecting those bits.

I rather enjoy doing the detail myself...it's a workout and it's very gratifying to see it all done. [:D]

I completely agree and would do it myself if I were physically able to do so.  I have a shop I use in Colorado where I live now, but I'm moving to Tulsa after my house sells.

Detailing?

If you don't know, you wouldn't understand.

The closest I come to auto detailing is waiting for a rainstorm. [:o)]

Is it the waiting or the rainstorm?

Nope, not me. I have runflat tires anyway. Where on 75? What color was the MINI? Any other identifying characteristics? I know a lot of our local MINI peeps.
