Bank Of America online banking is better than the rest and no fees for anything (I would send payments to the lawn guy without even a fee for mailing)

BoA:
Online Banking 5/5
ATM Locations  4/5
Banking Locations 4/5
Customer Service -9/5

BOA has done two mortgages for me with minimal paperwork.  I haven't had any probs and the people at 91/Yale are super nice.

I switched to them permanently because a nosy in-law that works at Bank of Oklahoma was bragging that she could see our accounts and was giving us every indication she was peeking and sharing our info with the rest of the family![:(!][:(!][:(!]

ETA: Switched banking and checking accounts to BOA from BOK

OK -I like banks that are also in other states (national banks)the BOK is only in Oklahoma. I bank at US bank, they are in 36 states (and Oklahoma is not one of the states sorry to say), but it makes it much more easy to cash a paycheck/or do banking when your out of state and you can still go to your regular bank..  I would go with "Bank Of America" they are in Tulsa, Oklahoma and many other states or "Chase" bank... Chase bank has branchs in Ohio & the midwest so if your out of town you have a frendly bank from your home town to go to..

I am glad someone has had a pleasant experience with them. My fiancee had banked with them for over 5 yrs without ever having an overdraft charge. The one day she did have an overdraft charge,(just one) they refused to take it off. Now I know it was her fault for overdrafting on her account, but a loyal customer for 5yrs and this is how they respond? I went to make a deposit for her one day at the local branch and they asked to see my ID. They told me they couldn't make the deposit into the account because my name wasn't on the account? Why in the hell would it matter if my name was on the account if I am making a deposit for her in her name with a check she had signed?

I have only had one overdraft fee and it was way my fault so I never asked them to take care of it.

I have had a credit card with them (paid off now) and had a great relationship with them (but was never late).  I did ask a couple times for a rate decrease and I got it.  I can't remember ever not getting great service.

Oh, and I have my mortgage through them...way easier to use than Chase.  Chase's online banking reeks.

Also, like was mentioned above, I love being able to send a check to anyone with no fee.  Our local utility company does not take ETF or eBills so BOA will send them a check each month.

At one branch (68th & Memorial) one of the tellers sent me a personal Christmas card (not the manager or anything).

So, I agree, I think some people's experiences are going to be different.  For me, BOA has been and will remain my choice.

I've been with BOA for 17 years.  No complaints and online service is excellent.

Big bonus is travel...they're everywhere.

You might check the banks that fall under the umbrella of BOk.  They also own Bank of Texas, Bank of Arkansas, Colorado State Bank, .......  Go look at their logos.  They all look strikingly familiar.

Very good I did not know that to be the case with the BOK, That's good to know.. My job requires alot of travel and with my US Bank account I can reach my account and bank in 36 states as if I was home and no hassles. The closest US Bank to Tulsa is in Joplin, Missouri.

I forgot this about the SIL who works @ BOK...we would go out and eat at restaurant X, then she would ask us if we ate at X and if it was good.  I would deposit a commission check and she would ask all of a sudden if I had sold a house...It was crazy, like "do you ever shop at X" and we just had.  It was like being stalked!

She had told some guys on blind dates about her super spy powers and they never called her back.

Now I keep  $1.21 in the BOK account and she suggested no gift exchange this year.  Hahaha.[}:)]

Fortunately this doesn't mean BOK is a bad bank, it just means your SIL is an idiot.

She really shouldn't be employed by them if she is doing those things. I'm sure they'd let her go in a heartbeat for that. However, I'm sure there are those same idiots in every bank you'd come across - sorry one of them happens to be somewhat related to you.

Good call on the $1.21 thing though! I may have to get an account like that and just leave statements laying around when family are over to achieve that same success. =]

Report her, simple as that, she would be fired in a heartbeat.
Thank you,

I know, I just needed to vent.  I had an active account there for 10 years prior to that.  With no probs.  What's funny is that for what she does, I don't even know why she can access accounts.

SIL is an idiot, but she is single and I sure don't want to hear her whine when they kick her out the door, so thus, bank change is easier.

TUalum0982, I can tell you that every time she hacks me off I dream of turning her in...and I want to turn her in quite often.  However, if you have a BOK account she may "pre-screen" you...

Nawww, I wouldn't do that to you![xx(]
