Public input to the comp plan began in the many many forums held to solicit information from the residents, businesses, school kids and others about what is important to them. All of these are on the PlaniTulsa web site.

This info was gathered and became part of the critera in the requests for proposals sent out to companies all over the country.

Companies in turn submitted their proposals and the city planners, i.e. PlaniTulsa (led by the steller Pat Treadway) sat for many hours reviewing the proposals and then selecting one.

Fregonese and Assoc. is the firm chosen by the very dedicated city planners here in Tulsa. NOT INCOG. PlaniTulsa!!!

The community needs to get their concepts and visions together to present. We need to know what we want -- And be able to present those views in a positive manner to help form our comprehensive plan.

It is a key to Tulsa's future.

Remember if you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there.

So will it be done by planning districts as it was before? Will planning district representatives be elected from within the districts? Is it even adequately funded yet?

Maybe?

Let them at least check into their hotel rooms before demanding too much.

Planning districts are so last millenium.

We had them long ago, before we had city councilors. It used to be our elected officials were hired for their expertise on water, police and fire, streets or finance. There was no one representing the districts.

Now we do. We just elected some two weeks ago.
Power is nothing till you use it.
