Apparently Medlock pulled a doozie on the Republican creditials chair. The stunt got him a demotion. Read about on the David Arnett column.

I read the column and one of the thing's that jumped out at me was that it mentioned "Medlock has attempted to leverage politics and media and was successful first as a co-host with KFAQ's morning host Gwen Freeman until she would not submit to his demand to lead a conversation one morning so he swung a microphone which hit her."

TulsaMini wrote in a previous forum "The mic noise is about ten minutes in. Then silence. When she begins speaking, you can hear the tension in her voice. Then she says "Chris, you had a comment?" She was pi$$ed and you can tell."

So, Is that the pause that we hear when she is talking to him? Here is the link thank you can hear this happen on Thanks "Tulsa Mini" http://ourtulsaworld.podomatic.com/entry/2008-03-01T18_16_02-08_00

I can hear a pause, so is it true or just an allegation

Someone pm'd me that you'd been quoting me on your KFAQ conspiracy theory threads.

All I ever said was there was a sound as if he hit the mic. Perhaps like you might do in  frustration. The only people who would know PRECISELY what happened would be those who were there.

Sheesh. Give it a rest.

Why involve yourself if you don't want others to read your opinion?

Thanks for your response!!  That pm was a week ago.  Also, I am the one the pm'd you because I wanted your input. My question is that there is a pause, is that pause from her being hit by the mic?

You are the one that DECIDED to give us the sound bit's link.  I did not just pull it out of my hat.  I guess it really doesn't matter.  I was just wondering what the pause is from.

This quote came from David Arnets column ""Medlock has attempted to leverage politics and media and was successful first as a co-host with KFAQ's morning host Gwen Freeman until she would not submit to his demand to lead a conversation one morning so he swung a microphone which hit her." So, was David there? Me putting things together and reading what you wrote on the internet and you offering the link I just said thanks TulsaMini for the link and provided the quote.

Do you think I'm an idiot? I know you PM'd me and I was IGNORING you and your posts. I got PMs from other people.

I know Chris and he would not hit Gwen. Period. Sometimes a pause is just a pause.

I'm done. And back to having you on ignore. Thanks.

You knowing Chris means what? Do you live with him? DO you live in his head?  Every convicted thief was once an innocent person.  People make mistakes.  How many wives "Know or knew" their husband's and are or was abused or cheated on and are confused as to what went wrong etc......

I understand you wishing the best and believing that Chris is a man of integrity.

Maybe David Arnett with Tulsatoday lied. http://www.tulsatoday.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1537&Itemid=2

The sad thing is that I am really going to miss out on a lot of useful information with you gone.

Why are you guys talking about an incident that happened two months ago to radio DJ on a low-rated station?

...and I thought I wasted time on TulsaNow.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Lol, I don't think he said he is leaving, just that he will be ignoring you.

Buzz, there are so many real stories out there, not saying that this is not a story, but I would love to frequent your posts and web-site if there was more uniqueness to your stories.

Not in the biz, but I think of successful news reporting as properly identifying information that relates to a reader and putting that information in front of that reader.

My other preference for new sources is that they NOT be a mirror of another new source.  Your web site is full of stories that I just read about on Google news.  When you asked for my zip code I thought, cool, a site that is going to report regional news online based on my geographic location.  Instead all I see is national AP stories.  Am I missing something?

First before I respond I am honestly not trying to advertise.
What is YourNews?

YourNews is an online news aggregator of information, news and content. The website has the look and feel of any newspaper website with content and advertising inventory of over 15,000 different local editions.  The general public submits all the local content which drives the local readership which is then supported by local advertising.   Your News puts control of the media in the "Hands Of The People". It's the ultimate blog.

The YourNews Mission

To place the power of the press in the hands of the people creating a
level information playing field, which will provide an equal and significant voice for all.

How to Use YourNews?

It's easy; log on to www.YourNews.com and type in your zip code. Your local edition will appear. Chose the section of the paper, IE. Sports, Business, you are interested in reading and click it. These sections are located on the left hand column of YourNews.

If you want to read a different edition of YourNews other then your local edition, go to the front page of your local edition. At the top bar, click the button that says; "Switch Editions", enter the zip code or type in the name of the city you want to visit.

If you have news you would like published click the section and sub section that's relevant to your article.  Ex:  "Activities & Events"/"Special Events".  Click the submit news button in the top left hand corner and copy and paste your article into the lower box.  Put in your story title and tag line.  If you have a picture click the browse button and find the image you want and click on it.  Run it for the number of days you would like your article published for.  Then click the "Submit News" button at the bottom of the page.  Your article will go live shortly.

With this being brand new and me not having what is called a clue as to how to properly advertise with out spamming everyone and in turn getting bad press I come here to find out what is interesting to you all that participate.

mrhaskellok

I love the concept...we just need more people with more time of their hands to submit relevant stories.

I don't blame you for want to get the word out...just wanted to pass on my observations for what they are worth.

Question, will news generated in neighboring zip codes be displayed in my "edition".   There wouldn't be a lot of news coming out of my zip code that I would want to read about but there would be collectively within 10-20 miles of my zip code.

All of the information that is posted through the city of tulsa's zip will be shown through all of the city of tulsa's zip.  It is broken off of each zip primarily because some advertiser's want to advertise to a particular zip code or demographic.
