Could there be a Lobeck involved

Most good Dems are lining up behind the neccesity of removing Jim Inhoffed from power over our country's image.

I liked my country better when it had principles and moral authority.

Hey the GOP is supposed to be serious about ousting those behind "earmarks" . Doesn't the $50 million for the river count?

I'm voting for Rice and I'm sure he's a fine man.

But I wanted to say that Jim Inhofe (specifically, his big fat mouth) is funding Andrew Rice's campaign.

Go check out Andrew's actblue page.  His top fundraiser was called Beat a Republican Extremist

Man, that's pure gold.  Oil.  Whatever.

So the Dem's are bringing in some outside muscle huh?
Trust but verify

Yep, but this is nothing new.  Conservative group Club for Growth sends money Tom Coburn's way.  And do I need to mention Inhofe and Big Oil?

If there's a difference, ActBlue is raising $10 at a time on the internet.

Interesting word order.

Vote first, fine man second.

Gimme a freakin' break. On this board, most of us write like we speak.  We're forgiving about sentence construction (and grammar).

My point was that Inhofe is his own worst enemy; I put this disclaimer in there because I freakin' hate concern trolls who guard their opinions and instead try to play semantical games.  I wanted to be crystal clear about where I stand on Inhofe's big fat mouth.  I happy he's talks so much crap.  It thrills me.

So, you think trying to parse someone's sentence is cute and/or effective?  You might at least have taken an antithetical position.  Any of these would work, you choose the word order that suits you best:

"I'm voting for that d**chebag Inhofe."
"I'm voting for Inhofe, he's a d**chebag."
"I vote for d**chebags, Inhofe is my choice!"

Your grammar was fine.  I made one or two comments about bad grammar changing the meaning of what was written in other threads and you instantly jump on the grammar thing.  Just maybe I was questioning your thought process.

As you say, we write as we speak.  What you said to me in that sentence is that you would vote for anyone but Inhofe. You might choose a mass murderer, a bank robber, a child molester.  Oh, by the way, Rice is a fine man.  It's as though Rice being a fine man is of little consequence, just a secondary thought to justify the first.

So far Rice's ads have not convinced me he has anything special to offer.  His statements about being a "Christian missionary" and that his brother died in 9/11 turn me off like a light switch.  Trying to suck up to Republicans by saying he helped one deserving family is statisically irrelevant.

Inhofe doesn't speak any more crap than other politicians.  He just happens to speak views really unpopular with liberals and some moderates.  I don't agree with everything Inhofe (or anyone for that matter) says or does. I do agree with many of his postions.

Until the Democrats come up with someone better (opinion - I know), I will continue to vote for Inhofe.

I don't need to stoop to calling politicians I disagree with derogatory names.

Clear enough?

I know my grammar's fine.  And so's my logic.

Dang right I'd vote for a yellow dog before I'd vote for Inhofe; not because I'm a Democrat, but because Inhofe is off his rocker.

"Inhofe doesn't speak any more crap than other politicians."

Are you kidding?  Where do you want to start?

The "gay-free" family picture presented as an exhibit on the Senate floor?  The shameless shilling for Big Oil?  Or, if you like history, we could even argue about how Mayor Jim Inhofe, developer, was the founding father of Tulsa's Good 'Ole Boy system of cronyism and regional giveaways.

His ideas are not just unpopular with "liberals and some moderates", they're morally bankrupt, dangerously shortsighted, and frankly, insane.  You may not "stoop" to name-calling, but you contort like a Chinese acrobat when you claim that Inhofe is a normal politician.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.  I don't have to agree.

And you are entitled to yours, whether you choose to defend it or not.
