Heh, this should have been your first post.  I think you've shot yourself in the foot as far as getting meaningful reponses now.

No, your posts aren't too conservative. There are plenty of well-read, thoughtful conservatives on this forum, no matter what a fool like FOTD says.

Your problem is your posts are too stupid.

Stupid will gain you nothing but crickets no matter what political stripe you are.

Aloha and lawzee:

a few comments I don't consider some of what I say stupid every time I look up Tulsa on the internet or watch the news I hear some new and
ridiculous scheme cooked up about downtown
or the river involving a river tax proposal or
a new sales tax or another bond issue or ect
all Tulsa really does is tax its people
to death don't say a word when Tulsa has a 25 cent sale tax
in august of 2007 I had my gallbladder removed in less than three days I went septic and had to go back to Hillcrest for another operation on the way to the hospital I had to ride all the way down 21st street feeling every pothole in the street because of the condition
I was in so gee tell us more about all these
wild schemes for downtown and the river
Tulsa is slowly becoming a bedroom community
it makes me sick to think about it the fairgrounds is just one example of it
the Bells family;  they are good for Tulsa
rather people realize it or not I know because I go to church with them and can learn things
the general public can't its just I'm trying
to protect their privacy and their good name
I guess its wrong to be a honest business person with a small business in the 21st century in Tulsa or so it would seem

well I guess I don't understand
the corporate culture here at Tulsaco.

I will agree with you that Tulsa seems to be a difficult place to run a small business. The only exceptions would be oil related, restaurants/bars and casinos. Frankly, small business anywhere is a crap shoot.

You and I grew up in Tulsa when it seemed easier to live in and better run. But it was also much smaller and had big companies to help out with the tax burden. In a nutshell, we are a bigger city now with bigger needs yet our tax base hasn't kept up. Those big companies left for Houston. We're trying to live the champagne life on a beer budget.

Most people here agree with you that the Bell's got a raw deal. No doubt that there are stories we don't know about. That had nothing to do with Tulsa trying to improve itself with proposals for the river and downtown. It was a county screw up. Whether Keith or Bell is elected reforms are in order.

You make a mistake in name calling and criticizing development efforts around here. This forum is dedicated to improving Tulsa and those proposals are efforts to do so.

We're not whiners, liberals, idiots, and heathens. We're just like you only we disagree and still manage to get along. If you post with respect it will be returned to you.
