Another one bites the dust

Saw the Elephant Bar Restaurant shut down as I drove by last night...didn't see that coming.[]

My wife and I have been there 3 times. First time the food was average, second was horrible, third time(she talked me back into going) was more horrible than horrible.

All three times, even the first average food trip there, the service was below average.

a link in the Ring of Lard has failed....I wonder which one is next?  If I had to guess I'd say Famous Dave's.

That place was a failure day one.  Their concept was stupid.  And they pushed cocktails on you before noon on a Sunday....not gonna fly in this Bible thumpin town.  I guess if you want to catch up with any of the staff just visit an AA meeting.

I'm not crying.  We had too many company lunches there because the ladies loved it.  At least they were free.  Their margaritas were awful.  I had to stick to beer or Crown.

Was sad to see that Ricks is gone too, though.

Next gone?  Probably Up **** Creek across the st.  Speaking of the area, I finally tried Asahi Sunday.  Very mediocre and their concept of sushi is incredibly limited.

A friend of mine put it pretty well.  "You don't buy condoms at a discount, so why would you buy sushi at a discount?"
