Every so often I have to dive into my Junk e-mail folder to see if anything important got trashed.  In doing so, I frequently find myself in stitches reading some of the thoughtfull pleas for my kind assistance in transferring millions of dollars that would most assuredly just go to waste without generous action on my part.  

Oh! and my bank account of course.

Anyone else have any of these gems to share?

This fund is deposited in the security and storage company for unward transfer to my late father's business partner in Europe before the lost contact as a result of the political crises in the country, seconded by his death (my father).In the deposit certificate which was issued to my late father by the security company,i was by names indicated the bona fide next of kin of the seal trunk box which contains the money.
However, as I do not know this foreign partner and his contact information and my condition is not safe and conducive here now, I appeal and plead to you in the name of GOD to help me stand as my guidian and foreign partner so that the security and storage company will transfer the box in your name as the new next of kin and owner with the fund in the sealed trunk box. Then after you have received the fund successfully, you will arrange to move me out from here to your country to continue my education while you manage the fund in a any profitable investment you may choose.

Dear, do I believe and trust in you that you will not sit and betray me after the sealed trunk box has been tranferred to you ? Assure me confidentially so that I will send across to you the contact information of the security and storage company for your verification and the deposit certificate of thesealed trunk box which contains the money.

Create a fake email account and reply.  Then reply again and again.  The goal is to waste their time and of course have a good laugh.  If possible, get them to spend money by calling a pay phone.  If they want you to send money say you only feel comfortable handing over cash as you want this to be under the radar (which they will, of course, love) but if you are going to give them $20,000 you can't afford the plane ticket... see if you can get them to spend money on one.

Clearly don't ever use your real name, number, or anything.  But you sure can have fun.

Wish I had time for that.  All of my free time is spent posting here.

I do like to keep tele-marketers on the line as long as possible though.  I can burn an hour on the phone with a tele-marketer in the evening while watching House.
