We are fast approaching another fun and educational three-day campaign with favorite radio personality Rick Couri from KRMG 740 AM / 102.3 FM. This year's project promises to be a great one benefiting Operation Aware

This year, Rick will be "Cultivating Positive Choices" by working in the park at 41st and Riverside Drive for three days.

Rick's commitment to Operation Aware has lasted more than two decades and he is one of the biggest local proponents of prevention education for our youth. Since his first fundraiser for OA in 1986, he has raised more than 1.2 million dollars, providing prevention education for thousands of Oklahoma students.

There are three ways to give. You can tune in to KRMG 740 AM/ 102.3 FM to follow his progress on this year's project during the drive May 20 -22, you can donate online at www.operationaware.org or you can stop by the park and turn in your gift personally. There will be special promotions going on all three days. Check www.operationaware.org for a full schedule the week of the event.

Operation Aware "cultivates" skills that will benefit children when they face pressures to use alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. We also teach them to stay safe by using violence prevention, anti-bullying techniques, anger management, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, goal setting, cyber safety and communication skills. These skills produce resilient young people who grow to be healthy, strong, productive members of our community.

Recent studies show that for every dollar invested in prevention the community saves $10 that would be lost to crime, drug treatment, health care and incarceration for those who don't make positive choices!

Please be a part of the solution – prevent problems by investing in the future!  Help "Cultivate Positive Choices" with your generous gift and set the bar high for our community.
