Did anybody else hear/see this? It only lasted a couple minutes but there were some really loud bangs and bright flashes of lights in Prattville last night. It was south of 51st and I couldn't tell which side of Hwy 97 it was coming from. Very odd. A lot of people were outside there house.

I live near 71 and Riverside. I heard the bangs but didn't see the flashes. Sounded like fireworks.

Didn't really sound like fireworks to me. And they weren't aerial. The flashes of light looked like they were ground based but I couldnt really see over the house behind me.

So wait, one of the most redneck areas in the metro, late at night and a bunch of people gathered?

I'm guessing there was alcohol involved and leftover fireworks. It's a formula for redneck ingenuity.

I'm betting they tried to make their own "super fireworks"

Dude, Keg deposits aren't cheap. I'd have to get a lot more out of the deal than having someone cut off their mullet to blow one of them up.

We heard some loud bangs in Jenks as well.  They sounded like they came from right behind our backyard between 81st and 91st St.  Our neighbors heard them too.  At first they sounded like they may have been gunshots, but they sounded too quiet and muffled to be gunshots.  They didn't really sound like fireworks either.  None of us were outside or looking out the windows at the time so I have no idea if they were accompanied by lights.

This is strange.
