This weekend, November 7th and 8th.

Bring us any chemicals from the home and we will recycle or dispose of properly.

This is the time to clean out your garage, the area under your sink and the medicine cabinet.

If you miss it, we won't have another for six months.

We COLLECT pollutants at the Fairgrounds and THEN TAKE THEM AWAY.

My bad.

Gate 7 off fifteenth street (Sandusky). It was where people used to enter when they went to a baseball game at the old park.

10am - 3pm

Don't be late because we close the gate.

I want to recycle any of the ammo you get.  ;)

You can't. I give it all to the Tulsa Police Bomb Squad in exchange for working at the event for two days. I need them...sometimes we get really weird stuff. We have received a landmine, a hand grenade, a mortar shell, and last year, a rocket-propelled grenade.

I average about 20,000 rounds collected each event.

OK, that kind of creeps me out.  I know we live in Oklahoma and everything...but...

It's like mice.  For every one you see... Bubba's got 20 more under the sofa.

It both creeps me out and makes me feel a bit more secure.  The creeped out part is from the stereotype of the guys that collect it.

Imagine the trouble an invading force would have subjecting us to their rule.  I can think of two examples where the big guy is getting his butt kicked considering the overwhelming military force the big guy has.  I can think of another example, about 230 years ago with a similar condition.

The landmine was the wierdest to me. I mean, I can see using a mortar or a hand grenade in a dispute with my loser neighbor, but the land mine seems pretty ineffective.

I still have those tires. Can I drop them off rather than drive 5 miles north?

Big meanie.

Oh, well, there's always Craigslist. "slightly used mismatched tires and ford rims...cheap"
