More than two years ago, just before the City of Tulsa decided to move city hall to the One Tech Center, local political pundit, Michael Bates made a plea to the city.  He told city leaders, they were rushing to act before knowing all the facts about how much the new city hall would cost compared to how much it would cost to stay in the old city hall.

Was not very fond of Bartlett when he was on the council but don't think this should have been dumped on his plate while the former mayor goes skipping among the tulips thinking how she helped the city out. There could not have been a more inconvenient location for citizens having to do business with the city.

One does not need to be very intelligent to realize that it has been a very costly venture, shrouded in deep conflicts of interest, at a time when strip malls were being built in the suburbs that would drain the resources needed to keep the city afloat.  Bartlett is taking a strong stand to realign this error to where the income equals the expenditures but the unions are dragging their feet and throwing every obstacle they can conjure up in the way.   They are trying to say that it could be as much as a month before they can give him an answer to correcting the budget.  One could wonder what would happen if the paychecks were held  up for a month?

Today we stand in ecstasy and view that we build today'
Tomorrow we will enter into the plea to have it torn away.

sooooo true.  How many police officers would $1.4 million pay for?  and this is a cost that the city is saddled with year after year.   PLUS the costs of continuing to maintain/stabilize all of those properties we were promised would be sold for development.  Tulsa will be paying for Kathy's reign for a very long time.   Is her house for sale yet, or are they going to wait a while to make it look a bit less unseemly?

And Susan Savages reign and Mayor Bill's reign.....but mostly what resulted from the Chimps reign in the White House during the worst decade ever.

Michael Bates: a great moment in city history! You shine here.

Notice three chamber stooges, Larry, Gary, and Michael, looking at their watches, snoozing, and snickering. Arrogant pricks and mere puppets. Johnson has come across as being used every time one looks up. Is he the only corporate black man in Tulsa? When will he awaken to his role in the facade of leadership? Mocha's ego falls right in line with what to expect from chamber cram down arrogance.

A very telling video. Bates, this is the season of what now?
