And I for one am glad they do it this way.  I was part of the Memorial Day flood in 1984.

When Omaha has the same flooding problems that Tulsa had pre storm-water mitigation, they would likely do the same.

If you don't like it, ignore it.

While it does get annoying, there are a lot of people who were awful glad they paid attention on Monday and the days before.  I'm truly amazed at the advances in forecasting in the last 20-30 years, hell even the last five years.

It's amazing how many people don't understand the "Flash" part of Flash Flood and the power of water.

Reminds me of the Mannford tornado in '84. Sunny and clear was the forecast Saturday night before Mannford got hit.
