From "The Fun Theory" project: Proving that if you make it fun, people will take the stairs rather than an escalator.

Bet the same kind of thing, making it fun and interesting, could work for areas where we want people to walk instead of drive too.

I remember going to Dogpatch back in the day.  It was the cleanest park ever, and they didnt have to hire anyone to do the cleaning.  They had these large character thingeys which had noses or mouths that would suck up garbage out of your hands.  People were looking around for anything, leaves even, just so they could see them work.

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

I remember Dogpatch but never got the chance to go. What a great idea that is.

I went to dogpatch once, but that was so long ago I don't remember anything.  Traveled all the way from New Mexico for it

I was so young when my grandparents took me and my cousin that I barely remember any of it.  I do remember a roller-coaster.  That was it.

I remember somethign about a water park, but I don't even know if it was from there.  Back then it seemed that we would hit an amusment park every summer.

They have another video where they had a trashcan that made noises.

Apparently It had the desired effect.

OK guys. Im gonna go a little off topic, but since Amusement parks were mentioned I have a question. The last several years we have been doing the Amusement park tour around Oklahoma.
So far Six Flags in Dallas. Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. Magic Springs in Hot Springs. And Six Flags in St Louis.
Help me out. Where to next ? I can only take off on a Friday and drive to and spend Saturday and Sunday and be back to work on Monday. Not much time to work with I know. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Frontier City in Oklahoma City is the only other one that comes to mind.  If you hold your breath for 20 years, Bell's might be back.
