Is the Fox 23 news story about Tulsa Massages really all that shocking ?
I was watching their story last night and just had that "Well Duh" kind of reaction.
I knew a girl 10 years ago who did the, have table will travel type of massage.
She was a cute girl.(not stunning but easy on the eyes)
She ran a ad in the Urpin Tulsa on the back pages and used her Cricket phone to set up her appointments. Hanging out at the Casino's late night generated a lot of clientele also.
She would be dropped off at Hotel, Motel's and do her "massage" and if you were a special client, she would "ah hmm" do you at her apartment.
She was set up and a undercover Officer busted her for soliciting prostitution and possession of a hand gun. Funny thing though. He busted her at her apartment.
And like Jerry Seinfeld. I never got a massage.

Nope, not me. Although I was kind of envious of a job where you're getting paid to get massages all day.

Every time me and the wife drive to her parent's house we pass by XXXX XXXXXX on about 27th and Harvard, and I say "whorehouse is open."  This was always just a joke to me because it made her angry (having a whorehouse so close to her parents neighborhood).

Sometimes it will be 11pm on a Sunday night and they have the red Open light on a few cars in the parking lot. 

So. . .fast forward a few years and a friend of ours is telling us a story. . .says he went to XXXX XXXXXX one day on his lunch break because he had hurt his lower back picking up a refrigerator.   He was ushered into a room where he disrobed for the "procedure" and a very young Vietnamese girl in spandex came in and introduced herself.  He said he was nervous because he realized at that point the problem in his lower back was nothing she could help him with. 

Now, every time we drive by, and I proclaim "WHOREHOUSE IS OPEN" my wife just sits there arms-crossed.

I did think it was amusing they mentioned the vice officers had written the new prostitution law awaiting approval of the city attorney (since we always hear police just enforce laws but dont make them).

This bothers me because my other is a legit massage therapist, and this kind of stuff makes it hard on her to do her job.  Now if we just legalized prostitution, then the massage field would become a place where you actually get a massage.
